WEARABLE TAXIDERMY WORKSHOP

In this class, students will learn all the skills required to make--and leave class with--their very own piece of one- or two-headed anthropomorphic taxidermy.

 

Choose from a variety of Clear texture patterned glass to create a one of a slumped glass vase. Learn the techniques of preparing your glass, the correct way to measure and choose the draping form. Technique, glass and firing included. $35.00 per additional vase (time permitting), additional art glass available for purchase.

In this workshop students will learn how to design miniature landscapes and flowers using frit, stringers and crushed glass powders. Metal hooks will be fused into each piece to allow for hanging, students will have the opportunity to create a series of small finished pieces or one larger scene ready to hang! All glass and materials are includes. Minimum of 5 students.

This course is designed for the beginner student. We will cover complete and proper pattern design and layout. Glass selection, cutting, grinding and achieving a proper fit of your glass will all be part of your experience. This class was created by Michael for students to learn the exact techniques used here in our studio for our client projects. Our class room is equipped with 8 grinders allowing student to maximize their time here in our space. Min 5 students

Students will learn to design and create their very own unique plant and garden stakes. Makes a great gift and is good for indoor use, or three-season outdoor use. Students will have a wide variety of glass, stringers, and frit to choose from as well as use of all our studio supplies. Kiln firing is included in cost and projects will be ready for pickup the following week.

Designed for students who have completed at least one copper foil project.  This class will allow you to tackle a larger more challenging project and refine your cutting, grinding, and finishing techniques while under the guidance of our instructor. Students will be asked to design their own patterns and will be allowed to learn and use a variety of new techniques and design details, including the use of kiln fired pieces. Come prepared with a project size and design idea for the first class along with your own tools. Min 4 students

Create your own one of a kind fused glass side table.

Students will learn the fundamentals for working with and creating with fused glass. Students will design and create their very own fused glass top for a 12x12 side table on a black wrought iron base for indoor or outdoor use – very versatile!

All materials are included in this one day workshop. Projects will be ready to pick up during the following week and will include a 20.25in tall black wrought iron base. Get your friends together and come in for a great time! Min 6 students.
