Our Staff
Michael S.
Studio owner, Designer, Manager, Artist etc. Hired at the age of 15 as an intern and apprentice, Michael has worked for The Glass Source for over 13 years. He attended The Art Institute of Philadelphia and Paier College of Art in CT. studying Fine Art and Design. He had his first gallery show at the age of 18 and continues to paint, design and work with glass everyday. He finds his inspiration in everyday life whether it be a phrase that evokes a thought or a random pattern that he sees in nature. He is continually thinking and writing notes for his ideas and thoughts which he uses in his pieces. Glass has become his medium of choice, however he is always working on a new painting, some of which become glass windows or sculptures. Some examples of his work can be found in the Photo Gallery section of the site.
Peri R
A working artist for over twenty years Peri works with many mediums. She is never afraid to try new techniques or think outside of the box. As a custom framer she has an incredible eye for detail. As a glass etcher, she started working with the studio two years ago and has been a great asset to the studio. She is also a published writer and an avid music enthusiast.
Jaime K.
Jaime has been working with glass for over 10 years. She work primarily in the copper foil method but has recently started to work with lead. She is incredible with redesigning and fine details. She also shows her own glass work at different galleries and teaches stained glass for not only The Glass Source but for the creative arts workshop in New Haven.
Debi P.
Deb started working with Glass in 2002. She took a class to over come her fear of glass and over come it she has. She has been working with the studio since 2004 and has an incredible gift for solving unique situations with restorations. She has a great eye for color and is very creative. Deb is also an incredible dance instructor and is often traveling on the weekends to great events to teach line dancing all over the country.
Randy R.
Randy started working with the studio in 2007 while helping to create a window for his own church. He and his family members would come in once a week and help with the construction of a memorial window for his aunt. Shortly after he was hired and has learned a lot! He started while the studio was in the middle of working on a large restoration and merged right in with no problem. He has shown an incredible gift for working with glass, especially restorations. Randy is also an accomplished musician and is currently a base player for Tuesdays with Maury, a local band.
Joesph S.
Joe started working with the studio last year. He is a jack of all trades and a great addition to the studio. He has learned quickly to work with glass and is great at rebuilding old windows (which is not easy). He is also great at wood working and handling removals and installations two of the more delicate parts of the restoration process.
