Discover how wool can be used like paint to create richly textured colorful landscapes. This workshop begins with a brief overview of materials, tools and basic needle felting techniques. Lori Neumann, our incredibly talented instructor, will bring a variety of felted examples for inspiration. Students will complete 2-3 small practice studies before creating an 8 X 10″ landscape using the instructor’s sample, provided references, or their own images/inspiration. Topics include creating firm, depth, light, and atmosphere in fiber landscapes, composition, color mixing & layering, transferring images to wool, and simple mounting and framing finished artwork for display. Suitable for beginners and those with some felting experience. All levels welcome. All materials to create painting ready to frame and use of tools provided (frame not included, but will be available for purchase.)

Workshop Highlights:
