In this studio, we don’t shy away from color. This workshop is about letting your imagination run absolutely wild. In the Funky Fused Glass Lanterns workshop, we’ll be playing with design, patterns, shape to create a piece of glass art that is very much uniquely yours. Everyone makes something different- your instructor is here to guide you to create the most perfect piece.

In this workshop, you’ll create four funky panels out of fused glass, stringers, and frit. There’s more than enough color for the bright and bold! Or perhaps a more subdued look for the ones who lean more neutral…. The point is, whatever you’re going– our instructors have your back. We’ll walk you through the ins and outs of fused glass, give tool demonstrations, go over safety practices, and show you the building-block techniques of this very magical medium.

You’ll be doing a type of glasswork called cold working: working with glass without heat. We’ll fire your pieces in the kiln after you leave, and your finished lantern will be ready for pickup within a week. No need to assemble the lantern yourself, we got that! You’ll be picking up a fully assembled piece of art.
