Fused Glass Wind Chimes

Designed for adults of all skill levels, our Fused Glass Wind Chime Workshop introduces the basics of glass fusing in a relaxed, supportive setting. With guidance from an experienced instructor, you’ll design and assemble a custom wind chime using colorful glass pieces. Optional materials like beads, wire, and natural elements such as driftwood or shells will also be available to help personalize your piece. 

The design is all you, but our very experienced instructors will guide you on your glass journey. Whatever you come up with, we can bring it to life together!

You’ll be doing a type of glasswork called cold working: working with glass without heat. We’ll fire your pieces in the kiln after you leave, and your wind chime pieces will be ready for pickup within a week.  Participants will learn how to cut and layer glass, consider design balance, and prepare their pieces for kiln firing. After the workshop, we’ll fire your glass pieces in our kiln. Once fired, we’ll provide simple stringing instructions so you can assemble your wind chime at home!
